SOME FINISHING PAINTING PROCESSES USING WATERBASED WOOD PAINT

PROCESS1: Clear Paint (strips visable) - create a thick paint film - through drying

1. Wipe Wiping Filler W8347 (with tinted).
2. Dry for 15-20 minutes at45-500C, let the product cool down within 5 minutes.
3. Light sanding with  #280-320 sandpaper.
4. Spraying with thick primer Sanding Sealer HD W7101/ W7107.
5. Drying for 15-20 minutes at 45-500C, let the product cool down within 5 minutes.
6. Sanding to a smooth – smooth finish with #320-400 sandpaper.
7. Repeat the color to achieve the required color (use Satin / Gloss to color). Drying time: 15-20 minutes.
8. Spray a coating of Satin W7031/ W7043/ Gloss W7029-80%.
9. Dry for 15-20 minutes at 45-500C, let the product cool for 5 minutes.
10. Lightly scrub with #400-600  sandpaper.
11. Apply a final coat of Satin W7031/ W7043/ Gloss W7029-80%.
12.Dry for 20-30 minutes at 45-500C, let the product cool down for 30-45 minutes before packing.
13. Packed after 2 h.
Total coats = 1 Filler + 1 Sealer + 2 Topcoats
Total finishing time (including spray time) = 4.5 hours
Spray equipment = high pressure (no vapor) spray gun with pressure air 5kg/cm2

PROCESS 2: Clear paint (grain visible) - creates a thick paint screen - Do not dry

1. Wiping Filler W8347 (with tint)

2. After 30 minutes, lightly sand with #280-320 sandpaper

3. Sanding Sealer HD W7101/ W7107 thick primer

4. After 30 minutes of sanding to achieve smoothness with #320-400 sandpaper

5. Sanding Sealer HD W7101/ W7107 thick primer

6. After 30 minutes of sanding to achieve smoothness with #320-400 sandpaper.

7. Touch up the color to reach the required color (use Satin W7031/ W7043 or Gloss W7029-80% to mix color) – drying time: 15-20 minutes.

8. Spray a final coat of Satin W7031/ W7043 or Gloss W7029-80%. Drying time: 45 – 60 minutes after spraying, let the product cool for 30-45 minutes before packaging

9. Pack after 8 – 12 hours. Total coating layers = 1 Filler + 2 Sealer + 2 Topcoat Total finishing time (including spraying time) = 4 – 4.5 hours Spray equipment = high compression spray gun (no vapor) with air pressure of 5kg/cm2.

PROCESS 3: Clear paint (grains visible) - create a thin paint film - Do not dry

1. Wiping Stain W8347 (with tint). Drying time: 20- 30 minutes.

2. Spray Sanding Sealer W3103/W3105/ W3108

3. After 30 minutes of sanding to achieve smoothness with #320-400 sandpaper

4. Touch up the color with Wiping Stain (step 1). Drying time: 15-20 minutes.

5. Spray Satin W7031 30% or Gloss W7031 85%. Drying time: 20 – 30 minutes.

6. Spray a final coat of Satin W7031/ W7043 or Gloss W7029-80%. Drying time: 45-60 minutes. 7. Pack after 12 – 24 hours. Total coats = 1 Stain + 1 Sealer + 2 Topcoat Total finishing time (including spraying time) = 3-4 hours Spray equipment = high compression spray gun (no vapor) with air pressure of 5kg/cm2.

PROCESS 4: White paint - Anti-yellowing - Indoor goods

1. Spray/Dip anti-stain paint mixture (100% ATM W7015ATM + 3% Part B + 20% Reducer). Dry at 45 – 50oC for 20-30 minutes.

2. Sand lightly with #320-400 sandpaper or with old sandpaper – DO NOT RUB CAREFULLY.

3. Spray the anti-stain layer again in easily visible areas + DO NOT SAND – especially on acacia wood, and pine wood, you must spray thoroughly at the tree’s nodes. Dry at 45 – 500C for 20-30 minutes.

4. Spray 1 coat of Sealer White W3115/W3116/W7222 white primer.

5. Dry at 45 – 500C for 20 – 30 minutes. Sand with #400-600 sandpaper.

6. Spray 1 layer of white paint Sealer White W3115/W3116/ W7222.

7. Dry at 45 – 500C for 20-30 minutes. Lightly sand #600-800.

8. Spray a coat of Satin White W8033/ W8233 or a clear coat of Satin W7029-30% or high gloss Gloss W7029-80% (if you want to create a thick layer of paint, you can spray it twice, 30 minutes apart). Drying time: 45 – 60 hours.

9. Pack after 12 – 24 hours. Total coats = 1 ATM + 2 Sealer + 1-2 Topcoat Total finishing time (including spraying time) = 8 hours Spray equipment = high compression spray gun (no vapor) with air pressure of 5kg/cm2

PROCESS 5: White paint - Anti-yellowing - Outdoor goods

PROCESS 6: White/colored paint on MDF wood
  1. Spray white primer W5538 or ATM white W7135 on MDF
  2. After 30-45 minutes sanding with #320-400 sandpaper
  3. Spray white primer W5538 or colored primer on MDF
  4. After 30-45 minutes sanding with #320-400 sandpaper
  5. Spray a coat of Sealer White W3115/W3116/ W7222
  6. After 30-45 minutes sanding with 320-400 grit
  7. Spray 1 layer of Satin White paint W8033/ W8233.
  8. After 30 – 45 minutes, lightly sand #600-800
  9. Spray 1 layer of gloss or clear gloss Satin W7031/W7043/W7029-30% or Gloss W7029-80% + color crystal (if you want to create a thick layer of paint, you can spray 2 times, 30-45 minutes apart each time). ).
  10. Pack after 8 – 12 hours. Total coats = 1- 2 MDF White/ATM White primer + 1 white primer (Sealer White) or color primer + 1 color coating + 1 clear coat (Topcoat) Total finishing time (including spraying time) = 4 – 4.5 hours Spray equipment = high compression spray gun (no vapor) with air pressure of 5kg/cm2 Note: spray an additional layer of white primer on MDF GH114.132 to the edges of the MDF panel without having to use timber putty.
PROCESS 7: Paint black on MDF wood
  1. Spray primer paint W7411 mixed black on MDF 
  2. After 30 minutes sanding with #320-400 sandpaper 
  3. Spray primer W7411 mixed black on MDF
  4. After 30 minutes sanding with #400-600 sandpaper
  5. Spray a coat of Satin gloss W7029/W7031/W7043 + black crystal to match the sample.
  6. Roughly sand with #800 sandpaper or fine sandpaper
  7. Spray a final coat of gloss Satin W7031/W7043 or a coat of translucent topcoat Satin W7018-5% or Gloss W7029-80% mixed or unmixed with black (1-2% colored gloss in step 5).
  8. Pack after 8 – 12 hours. Total coats = 2 MDF Sealer Black + 1-2 Black Coating Total finishing time (including spraying time) = 4 hours Spray equipment = high compression spray gun (no vapor) with air pressure of 5kg/cm2 Note: spray an additional layer of black primer on MDF to the edges of the MDF panel without having to use timber putty. GH114.132 base form can be used to mix with black crystal.
PROCESS 8: Paint to achieve the natural color of the wood
  1. Spray Satin Clear W7018 5% (Indoor) or Satin IDS604 (Outdoor) 
  2. Dry for 20 – 30 minutes at a temperature of 45 – 500C or dry naturally within 45 – 60 minutes and then sand with #320-400 sandpaper.
  3. Spray Satin Clear W7018 5% (Indoor) or Satin IDS604 5% (Outdoor).
  4. Dry for 20 – 30 minutes at a temperature of 45 – 500C or dry naturally within 45 – 60 minutes and then sand with sandpaper #400-600
  5. Spray a final coat of W7018 5% (for indoor goods); For outdoor goods: spray mixture W5103/ IDS604 100% + Part B (3%)/ Part C (6%) + Reducer (~10%) W8044
  6. Pack after 12 – 24 hours (for indoor goods) / 24 – 48 hours (for outdoor goods). Total coats = 2 – 3 coats Total finishing time (including spraying time) = 3 – 4 hours Spray equipment = high compression spray gun (no vapor) with air pressure of 5kg/cm2.
